Adding Hormone Therapy to Postoperative Radiotherapy Confers a Survival Benefit in Patients With Prostate Cancer and High PSA
Abstract
Results from the POSEIDON meta-analysis of 6 phase 3 randomized trials show no meaningful OS benefit with the addition of hormone therapy to postoperative radiotherapy in patients with recurrent prostate cancer (Abstract 305). However, additional analysis of the interaction effect revealed a survival benefit in a subgroup of patients with a high PSA level (> 0.5 ng/mL).
