Abstract

Primates are mammals that possess unique reproductive features, and humans (Homo sapiens) may have gained additional biological specializations within the order. The ability of humans to communicate in the abstract through written and spoken languages, for example, has provided a depth of knowledge about reproduction that predates much of what has been documented about reproduction in other organisms. At the same time, this social self-study also walks a fine ethical line.
