Abstract

A dynamic reciprocity exists between biology, health, and technology, one often driving another forward, resulting in increasingly sophisticated approaches and techniques that assist sexual reproduction. Humans have been fascinated with reproduction for millennia, and history documents how discoveries and technologies advanced how infertility is treated. Which remain relevant to contemporary assisted reproduction and how are they being applied?
