Abstract

The proliferation of smartphones, wireless technology and new telecommunications networks in combination with the electrical systems that power twenty-first-century living have created exponential increases in electromagnetic radiation. Exposure to artificially generated, non-ionizing electromagnetic fields (EMFs) is one of the most ubiquitous and fastest-growing anthropogenic factors in the environment ( Bandara and Carpenter, 2018 ).
