Contextualised Care and the Veterinary Nurse
Abstract
In this chapter Jane Davidson proposes the use of the contextualised care concept as a tool to provide care frameworks that include the work of the entire care team, accommodating the contributions and changing roles of the veterinary surgeon, veterinary nurse, lay staff and paraprofessional. She considers how contextualised care can be the basis of a patient care plan that is applicable for in patients and outpatients and that optimises the team provision of the most appropriate patient care.
