Abstract

Considers differential commutative rings R which are algebras over a differential field F (usually a field of the type considered in Chapter 2 ), and differential R modules M It focuses on the D finite case: when every element of R and every element of M satisfies a monic linear homogeneous differential equation with coefficients in F. A good example of such an R is the ring of the PV closure of F, which is studied carefully. Injective resolutions and basic homology of these rings are investigated, especially first cohomology and extensions.
