Abstract

In this chapter, we integrate ChatGPT, a cutting-edge language model, into IoT ecosystems to investigate the relationship between conversational intelligence and the Internet of Things (IoT). Intelligent conversational agents that can comprehend and react to user inquiries in real time are becoming increasingly necessary as a result of the proliferation of IoT devices and the growing desire for seamless human–machine contact. We explore ChatGPT’s possible uses in Internet of Things scenarios, such as remote device management, personalized help, and a natural language interface for smart settings. In addition, we go over the difficulties and possibilities of implementing conversational AI models at the edge of IoT networks, taking latency, resource limitations, and privacy considerations into account. We demonstrate how the combination of ChatGPT and IoT technologies can open up new avenues for improving user experiences, streamlining device interactions, and enabling intelligent automation across a range of fields through case studies and real-world examples.
