Abstract

Groundwater, being a vital natural resource, serves as a primary source of drinking water for a substantial portion of the global population. However, this precious resource is increasingly threatened by pollution from various human activities and natural processes. Groundwater pollution occurs when contaminants from surface sources or subsurface activities infiltrate into the aquifers, rendering the water unsuitable for consumption or other beneficial uses.
