Abstract

This chapter covers structured team play sessions and reviews as a method to improve internal feedback during the game production cycle. While sharing spontaneous feedback can be common within the team, it often lacks direction and documentation. By introducing lightweight frameworks, such as guided questions or feedback templates, team members can provide more actionable, relevant insights early in development. This chapter outlines a step-by-step process for planning and conducting play sessions and reviews, shares practical tips, and common pitfalls with the method. This chapter also includes templates for conducting play sessions based on real-life experiences with the method.
