Abstract

The rapid development of Industry 4.0 has accelerated the implementation of intelligent process automation (IPA) and the integration of artificial intelligence (AI) into production. This chapter looks at the strategic application of AI-driven IPA in the manufacturing industry, emphasizing how it can expand operational effectiveness, minimize human involvement, and simplify in-the-moment decision-making. The goal is to create a thorough framework for implementing AI technologies to automate intricate industrial operations. Applications in quality control, supply chain optimization, production planning, and predictive maintenance are all included in the scope. The innovation is in the way AI and conventional automation systems come together to create workflows that are autonomous, self-learning, and adaptable. The chapter&s;s methodology takes a hybrid approach, integrating domain-specific expertise with data-driven AI models to maximize manufacturing results. According to the chapter&s;s empirical research and illustrated case studies, AI-enabled IPA not only increases flexibility and productivity but also establishes the groundwork for intelligent and sustainable manufacturing environments.
