Abstract

The advent of AIoT-based sustainable engineering and technology has transformed the manufacturing landscape, offering a powerful tool to enhance efficiency, reduce waste, and promote sustainability in industrial processes. The application of supply chain management and smart operations to improve industrial efficiency is examined in this chapter, with an emphasis on the incorporation of AIoT-based sustainable engineering and technology. Making use of cutting-edge technologies including automation, data analytics, IIoT, and IoT maximize operational performance and production process optimization. Lean manufacturing concepts and JIT inventory management help to minimize waste and cut costs, while the integration of APS, ERP, and SCM systems provide end-to-end visibility and coordination, enabling improved decision-making and resource usage. Presenting a thorough framework for implementing smart operations and supply chain management, predictive maintenance and real-time quality control ensure consistent production quality and minimize downtime by emphasizing critical strategies, technologies, and best practices that drive efficiency improvements and result in notable increases in productivity, cost savings, and sustainability.
