Abstract

By definition, cells that can self-renew and produce progenies as well as differentiate into multiple cell lineages are termed as stem cells. 1 Essentially, these are undifferentiated cells that are able to differentiate into multiple specialized cell types. Since stem cells have the potential to replace or restore lost cells, they have been evaluated and considered as potential therapeutic agents in neurological diseases.
