Abstract

Part C ( Chapters 11 to 17 ) describes the various stages of a project lifestyle. Chapter 12 describes the initial stages of project development. The first stage is to determine the feasibility of the project and its location. The level of definition needed for the project is then discussed, covering, amongst other items, the supply of raw materials, utilities, storage and dispatch of finished products. Some factors such as process technology, are discussed in a little more detail, and further details of preliminary design activities are listed.
