Abstract

While the war-economy metaphor borrows from an arsenal of command-economic tools, chapter 15 introduces a world music metaphor for the broadest possible popular movement to save the planet. For absolute decoupling, and for dealing with issues of ressentiment and AI-control, there will have to be broad, popular participation, both commercial and in dugnad type ( chapter 16 ) playing fields. The world music metaphor informs about musical roots and musical varieties around the world, and more generally about innovation and diffusion of ideas – instructive also for human activity to reduce the environmental burden, even in a world of AI and AGI. There is nothing in human nature to prevent such mobilization. It is about the content of a new political-economic playing-field. The greatest challenge of the metaphor is to liberate the powerless for movement from below, neutralize the “power paradox” trap of leadership, and prevent leaders with empathy-deficit brain damage from the right to rule. No small challenge!
