Abstract

Smart healthcare frameworks introduce the utilization of enhanced technologies, like machine learning, artificial intelligence, Internet of Things, blockchain, and so on, to improve efficiency and accuracy in making decisions to detect diseases among patients. Among all the smart technologies, AI enabled with the Internet of Medical Things has shown more productive application in making decisions for the betterment of patients. In this book chapter, numerous smart frameworks embedded with machine learning and artificial intelligence techniques are reviewed and it is found that application of AI enabled with the Internet of Medical Things are showing continuous growth in the treatment as well as diagnosis of patients. In this respect only, this book chapter discusses the decision-making performance of smart frameworks for patients suffering with cardiovascular diseases and diabetes mellitus in terms of accuracy. A graphical analysis has also been observed, and it is found that researchers are able to provide accuracy of 99.12% and 96% to detect cardiovascular diseases and diabetes mellitus respectively among patients. Moreover, this analysis has shown that detection, screening, medication, and treatment by using healthcare systems are improved significantly and resulted in productive healthcare decision-making systems for the entire medical practice.
