Abstract

Artificial intelligence (AI) is revolutionizing research across scientific disciplines, with phytomedicine emerging as a particularly exciting area of transformation. AI is proving crucial in various applications, such as identifying novel bioactive compounds through virtual screening, predicting the efficacy of herbal formulations, and optimizing extraction processes for medicinal plants. Beyond complementing traditional therapies and improving accuracy, AI enables predictive analytics, streamlines research, facilitates personalized treatment strategies, and supports precise diagnoses. However, the integration of AI presents challenges concerning data transparency, security, and the preservation of cultural values. Capturing the inherent complexity of biology and phytomedicine remains a key challenge, necessitating interdisciplinary collaboration and advancements in modeling tools.
