Phenothiazine Cutting-Edge Material for Next-Generation Energy Storage Solutions
Abstract
PTZ-based compounds have risen as a viable option for energy storage devices due to their distinct redox characteristics, stability, and adaptability. These derivatives have gained significant attention due to their unique electrochemical properties, which enhance the performance and efficiency of energy storage systems. By exploring their integration into polymer-based molds, we highlight how these materials can improve the mechanical stability, conductivity, and overall electrochemical behavior of batteries and supercapacitors. The progression of PTZ materials is documented from their early use as redox-active components in organic batteries to their integration into cutting-edge polymer electrolytes and electrode materials. This chapter offers an in-depth analysis of the advancements and applications of PTZ derivatives across various energy storage technologies, with a particular focus on their incorporation into diverse polymer matrices. It also underscores key developments that have propelled these materials forward, from initial research phases to the latest innovations in flexible and solid-state devices. The adaptability of PTZ compounds and their potential in energy storage technologies of the future are highlighted, underscoring their continued relevance in sustainable energy research and development.
