Abstract

The machine learning (ML) models can improve the cooperation between intelligent systems and human workers, which can be crucial to achieving the goal of Industry 5.0. ML models are intended to enhance human capacities, build more flexible systems, and facilitate sustainable and customized production processes in Industry 5.0. By uses like deep learning, clustering, and classification, machine learning models in Industry 5.0 boost creativity and productivity. They drive revolutionary improvements in industrial processes by facilitating intelligent decision-making, adaptive control, real-time event detection, and enhanced human–machine collaboration. The initiation of Industry 5.0 signals a transformative stage in the industrial landscape, highlighting the incorporation of innovative technologies to improve human-centric production processes. Foremost to this development is the essential role of machine learning and artificial intelligence, which are redefining operative efficiencies, decision-making, and novelty across numerous sectors. Dissimilar to its predecessor, Industry 4.0, which predominantly concentrated on automation and connectivity, Industry 5.0 strives to synchronize the relationship between people and machines, adopting a more sustainable and stronger industrial ecosystem. The chapter explores the suggestions of AI and ML in Industry 5.0, emphasizing their potential to not only improve processes but also to increase human capabilities, thereby motivating a new era of productivity and creativity. As industries traverse this complex technological landscape, accepting the collaboration between ML, AI, and human workers turns essential for accomplishing a balanced and forward-looking methodology to industrial development.
