Abstract

In recent years, the healthcare sector has significantly benefited from advancements in plant-associated nanotechnology for the treatment of various diseases. This innovative approach integrates the principles of green chemistry, biology, and engineering to develop safe, therapeutically effective, and eco-friendly nanoparticles and biosensors. Plant-mediated nanoparticles provide the opportunity to deliver active drug molecules with greater precision and reduced side effects. Nanoparticles of plant-associated nanotechnology extend across drug delivery, cancer therapy, antimicrobial treatments, vaccine development, diagnostics, and medical imaging. Plant-associated nanotechnology has found practical applications in biosensors for detecting biological and chemical substances in humans and plants. By amalgamating plant-mediated nanoparticles and engineering, biosensors have opened new avenues in drug delivery, real-time detection of biomarkers, and bioimaging.
