Abstract

This paper presents an innovative blockchain-based solution poised at the nexus of green finance, blockchain technology, and the Internet of Things (IoT). At its core, our approach revolves around real-time data collection from IoT devices within smart homes, intricately woven into the fabric of blockchain and smart contract technology. This powerful integration empowers individuals to proactively participate in energy conservation efforts, aligning with the principles of green finance. A transparent rewards system recorded on the Ethereum blockchain incentivizes users to adopt eco-conscious behaviors, such as powering down electrical appliances when leaving their homes, thus contributing to energy savings. This research delves into the technical intricacies of IoT data aggregation. It introduces an efficient smart contract system to reward users for their environmental contributions, creating a compelling link between sustainable financial practices and individual environmental responsibility. The paper highlights the potential of blockchain and IoT to drive environmental sustainability while promoting financial innovation, making it a promising bridge between green finance and environmental stewardship for a greener and more prosperous future.
