Abstract

Halide perovskites, with their exceptional optoelectronic properties, have established a strong presence in various optoelectronic applications, including solar cells, photodetectors, and light-emitting diodes. Furthermore, these materials exhibit remarkable dielectric, piezoelectric, and ferroelectric properties, which make them highly suitable for mechanical and thermal energy-harvesting applications. This chapter reviews the current status of halide perovskites and their polymer composites in piezoelectric, triboelectric, and pyroelectric nanogenerators, presenting a comprehensive overview of their synthesis processes and a detailed analysis of their dielectric, piezoelectric, and ferroelectric properties. Special emphasis is placed on the advantages of halide perovskite-polymer composites, including their potential for enhanced energy-harvesting efficiency and improved material stability. Finally, recent advancements in this field are also summarized, along with potential directions for further enhancing the performance of energy harvesters utilizing these innovative materials.
