Biosecurity measures and disease management—critical control points
Abstract
Certain routines established during childhood persist into adulthood, becoming habitual practices that are often passed on to subsequent generations. One such routine is the act of washing hands before eating—a fundamental biosecurity measure performed almost instinctively. This simple yet effective practice, aimed at minimizing the risk of pathogen transfer from hands to food, exemplifies the manner in which biosecurity measures should be implemented—not as an additional or burdensome procedure, but as an integral and inherent component of daily life.
