Abstract

The use of artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML) in the design of electronic devices has changed the face of communication engineering by providing sophisticated capabilities, greater efficiency, and enhanced performance. Designing communication devices using conventional approaches was largely dependent on manual efforts, rule-based optimizations, and iterative testing, which typically produced longer development cycles and inferior performance. However, with AI and ML entering the picture, engineers can now enjoy the closer-to reality of leveraging computational intelligence to automate and enhance different stages of designing electronic devices (starting from conceptualization to real-time improvement). AI algorithms help in faster simulation, predictive modeling, and better design automation, thereby reducing the time-to-market and reducing human involvement in complex decision-making scenarios.
