Women's safety is a paramount concern in our society. Atrocities against women, like acid attacks, sexual harassment, and other abuses, are unfortunate but common practices these days. Nowadays, even a 5-year girl is not safe in our society. In this context, a “Smart Shoe” has been developed with multiple features to provide them with immediate safety. This system leverages the Internet of Things (IoT) technology. It also comprises some advanced communication systems such as Global System for Mobile Communication (GSM), Global Positioning System (GPS), Simple Mail Transfer Protocol (SMTP), RF Transmitter-Receiver module, and Wireless Fidelity (Wi-Fi). Using an emergency button, the user can send an alert message to the predesignated number along with a real-time location. Simultaneously, a call is also sent to the contact numbers sequentially. It is also capable of sending real-time images attached to an email with an alert message using ESP32 CAM. A shock generator is also there to take instant action in a dangerous situation. A lithium polymer battery has been used to give power to the system and it has a separate charging unit. The Smart Shoe is comfortable and user-friendly besides having a stylish look. This innovative solution is crafted to create a positive impact on women's lives whose main concern is the personal security of women in the contemporary society, promoting their safety and overall well-being.
