Abstract

Women’s role across various sectors in America has become increasingly significant, yet their contributions are often underrepresented in mainstream discussions. This study is devoted to examining the unique achievements, challenges, and successes of women leaders—including expat women —who have pioneered innovation in American industries, focusing on technology, healthcare, and entrepreneurship. By drawing on several case analyses, the study scrutinizes several influences that enable women to lead innovation, including access to resources, mentorship, organizational support, and personal determination. A deeper perspective is uncovered on the pivotal role women play as leaders when they confront gender biases, glass ceilings, and underrepresentation in leadership roles. The presence of expatriate perspectives adds depth to the analysis, as we see how immigrant women move through and redefine institutional arrangements in their adopted country. This study provides intensive view on how women leaders are expanding the future of innovation and provides specific ways that organizations and policymakers can contribute to provide conducive environment for female innovators in America. This study highlights the role of women executives in broadening the future of innovation as well as provides actionable steps for stakeholders to better support women innovators in America. Drawing from techniques of qualitative research, this study draws from case analyses and industry reports. By leveraging the secondary data from diversity and inclusion programs from leading these companies, this study enables the analysis of personal factors and institutional dynamics that influence the women leaders.
