Abstract

Across the decades, women have contributed significantly to the shaping of technology and innovation, yet they are still underrepresented in leadership and decision-making positions. This research examines the past and present contributions of women in technology, highlighting their role as entrepreneurs, innovators, and thought leaders. Employing text mining methods, we examine ten YouTube interview transcripts of women CEOs from TEDX, a popular YouTube platform, and entrepreneurs to determine the most common themes, obstacles, and facilitators in their experiences. Despite experiencing gender bias, restricted access to funds, and underrepresentation, women are still leading innovation in areas like artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, and biotechnology. This study identifies the ways in which support networks—such as mentorship initiatives, inclusive policies, and advocacy campaigns—are closing representational gaps. Particular attention is paid to the ways in which education and community action support the empowerment of young women in STEM. The report underscores the value of diversity in constructing a strong, adaptive tech ecosystem and demands concerted, systemic action to elevate women&s;s voices and leadership in the innovative economy.
