Abstract

This chapter presents an exploration of intelligent data methods and tools for sustainable Human Resources (HR) management in Information Technology (IT) companies. We review core concepts of personnel development management, such as personnel assessment, indicators, and methods for assessing IT specialists. In most cases, the assessment is based on the subjective opinions of managers, which do not possess a high degree of reliability and completeness. Therefore, it is reasonable to use intelligent data analytics to improve the objectivity of assessments and the quality of decisions made in the field of personnel management. We propose using a digital trace – data left by an IT specialist when using various information systems. Natural language processing methods, principal component analysis, regression, and structural modeling are used for data preparation and intelligent analysis. As a result, a competency matrix, competence assessment method, and a decision support system (DSS) have been developed, with the help of which HR management and IT specialists themselves can assess the level of competence, as well as choose the order of mastering knowledge, skills, and abilities to achieve the desired level of qualification.
