Introduction
Abstract
The final word on Charles Bonnet Syndrome (CBS) has not yet been written. Although the very first description of this visual hallucination was described in the mid-1700s, it is still considered an unrecognized and underdiagnosed phenomenon. CBS is unique since it incorporates so many levels of a human beings most precious of the senses—sight. Yet it is the lack of vision that brings out CBS. This book combines the most clinically relevant information of the eye care field with the downstream psychological consequences of the person who is having to live with CBS. The clinician, caregiver and, finally but most importantly, the patient should find this information timely and invaluable.
