Troubleshooting and Optimizing ComfyUI Workflows for Architectural Image Quality
Abstract
This chapter provides a structured guide to diagnosing and resolving quality issues in AI-generated architectural imagery, alongside strategies for workflow optimization. Common problems such as blurred textures, inconsistent lighting, color drift, and geometric distortions are systematically analyzed with corresponding corrective techniques, including resolution adjustments, sampler selection, CFG scale tuning, and ControlNet conditioning. Prompt-related challenges, such as overloading with descriptors or the misinterpretation of technical jargon, are addressed with simplified phrasing strategies that improve model comprehension. Optimization practices are introduced for sampling parameters, resolution management, and post-processing, with emphasis on maintaining structural clarity and material fidelity. Tools such as LatentSaver, BatchPrompt, and PromptMatrix are recommended for iterative development, while metadata tracking ensures reproducibility. A diagram of best-practice ComfyUI pipelines is provided as a visual reference for robust workflow construction. By reframing troubleshooting as an integral design methodology, the chapter emphasizes that mastering generative workflows requires both technical precision and architectural intelligence, allowing practitioners to consistently produce images that combine creative atmosphere with tectonic coherence.
