Useful Shortcuts for ComfyUI
Abstract
This chapter consolidates the essential keyboard shortcuts that streamline navigation, editing, and execution within ComfyUI. Functions such as queuing graphs (Ctrl + Enter), muting or bypassing nodes (Ctrl + M, Ctrl + B), collapsing or grouping nodes (Alt + C, Ctrl + G), and toggling interface elements (Q for queue, H for history, F for menu) are outlined as tools for enhancing workflow efficiency. Canvas navigation commands—including zooming, panning, and fitting to selection—are explained alongside node-level operations such as copy-paste with or without preserved connections, pinning, and wire management. The chapter emphasizes that familiarity with these shortcuts reduces friction during iterative design, particularly in complex architectural pipelines that involve multiple ControlNets, LoRA adapters, and reference inputs. While seemingly simple, mastery of these commands enables smoother real-time experimentation, faster debugging, and more intuitive interaction with the node-based interface. By embedding these efficiencies into daily practice, architects can shift focus from interface management toward critical engagement with generative processes, ensuring that technical overhead does not hinder design exploration.
