Abstract

This research gives an overview of the revolutionary influence of artificial intelligence (AI) in additive manufacturing (AM), focusing on how AI tools machine learning (ML) and deep learning (DL) precisely change the landscape of the domain. The key themes are the deployment of AI for process optimization, design transformation, and quality control. It is noted that the potential of AI to be used to optimize AM processes for real-time decisions, improved material performance, and maximized AM, design, and other parameters. After these challenges, the authors highlight future trends, such as developing self-adaptive systems and the merging of AI with advanced technologies. This wide-ranging review will aim to integrate recent research directions, spot the gaps, and suggest future directions for using AI to boost AM.
