Abstract

This chapter introduces a compact T-A-T configuration rasorber constructed on a single-layer dielectric substrate. The design supports dual-band transmission combined with a narrowband absorption feature. Due to its symmetric layout, the structure demonstrates polarization-independent behavior. The proposed rasorber integrates a resonant frequency selective surface (FSS) absorber on the front side and a dual-band bandpass FSS on the reverse side of the substrate. An equivalent circuit model is employed to interpret the electromagnetic behavior of the device. To experimentally verify the simulated performance, a prototype comprising a 21 × 21 array of unit cells is fabricated and tested.
