Abstract

In the preceding chapter, an A-T type FSR featuring broadband absorption and a higher-frequency transmission band was discussed. This chapter focuses on the development of a T-A-T-type FSR that supports dual-band transmission. The design integrates a dual-band bandpass frequency selective surface (FSS) with a broadband absorber, resulting in a structure that provides wideband absorption between two distinct transmission windows. The proposed FSR is a compact two-layer configuration and is well suited for radar cross-section (RCS) reduction in dual-band antenna systems. The operational behavior of the structure is examined through an equivalent circuit model (ECM). A prototype is fabricated, and experimental measurements are performed, showing strong correlation with the simulation results, thereby validating the design’s effectiveness.
