Abstract

This chapter presents the vitally important—yet on the boarder AU: Should be “border line” here? line of linear algebra—topics of Jacobian, Hessian, and Gradient. In this presentation, the following are presented: Brief and sufficient mathematical descriptions of each of the topics at hand are provided. C++ implementations using CppAD (Algorithmic or Automatic Differentiation) library are explained.
