Abstract

Considering they are expensive and entail conventional approaches, botanical extracts or phytochemical compounds are essential in developing nations. Medicinal plants can be made far more successful by nanotechnology using techniques like liposomes, solid lipid nanoparticles (NPs), and polymeric NPs. The solubility, assurance, and modulated release of herbal formulations are enhanced by these advancements, which transform medication delivery and raise their bioavailability and therapeutic efficacy. Notwithstanding obstacles including comprehension of functioning concepts, possible contamination, and industrial scalability, nanomedicine uses NPs and nanorobots for improved bioavailability, solubility, and targeted delivery. New developments in sophisticated delivery methods and biopolymer-based systems have a lot of promise. Nanomedicine has an optimistic outlook as research continues to improve treatment efficacy and accuracy while minimizing complications. This chapter highlights the novel nanotechnology for botanical extracts, their method of synthesis, the type of phytochemical compounds, and their application.
