Abstract

The core strategic tools, approaches, and methods for successfully integrating humans in any project are introduced. They are domain-independent and applicable to entrepreneurs, designers, managers, or engineers. Their application will help enhance program, project, product, or organization performance by better understanding the creative intent, system environment, operators’ mindset, etc. On a strategic level, they can be used, for example, when analyzing enterprise performance or initiating a product design concept. The presented tools address abstract modeling, context or environment modeling, project development sequence, organization, and behavior modeling. A brief insight into applying specific strategies for complex human–system testing provides a guide addressing simulation fidelity and using the original NASA HSI framework.
