Unveiling the Nexus between Sustainable Technologies and China's Export Expansion
Abstract
Sustainability has become a focal point in global economic discourse, with increasing attention on technological advancements that promote environmental responsibility. This study examines the role of sustainable technologies in China’s export growth through a systematic bibliometric review. A bibliometric analysis was conducted using 146 articles retrieved from the Scopus database, spanning the period from 2000 to 2024. The data was analyzed using the Biblioshiny tool in RStudio to identify key themes, trends, and research gaps in the literature. This review highlights significant themes and emerging trends in the adoption of sustainable technology and its impact on China’s export dynamics. It identifies critical research gaps, emphasizing the need for further exploration in this field. This study is limited to articles indexed in Scopus. Future research could incorporate additional databases such as Web of Science and Google Scholar and explore alternative search keywords. Additionally, a focus on publications indexed in SCI, SSCI, and ABDC could provide deeper insights. This study provides a comprehensive bibliometric analysis of the intersection between sustainable technologies and export growth in China. The findings contribute to the academic discourse by identifying research gaps and suggesting future research directions in the field.
