Abstract

Another aspect that still intrigues researchers, especially in the analytics realm, is to understand the coherence between the COVID-19 infection and death cases in Mauritius via some advanced bivariate statistical methodologies. In today&s;s ages, by studying both COVID-19 infection and death series, authorities will be able to assess the effectiveness of the vaccines and understand the behavior of the COVID-19 pandemic in specific countries, especially when the number of COVID-19 infected cases is increasing though the rise in the share of fully vaccinated Mauritian people and the emergence of more variants with vivid propagation rate. By understanding the patterns in the COVID-19 infected and death series, one can also easily undertake pro-active measures regarding scenarios like need for adequate ventilators in COVID-19 specialised hospitals, number of burials per day and most importantly, identify the factors or measures not reaping expected positive outcomes in containing SARS-CoV-2.
