Abstract

The integration of Artificial Intelligence (AI) into Indian healthcare is accelerating significant advancements in diagnostics, personalized treatment, hospital management and telemedicine. This research explores the dual impact of AI in Indian healthcare—its opportunities and ethical dilemmas—via a quantitative research design from healthcare professionals across India. A structured survey was administered to 212 respondents, comprising doctors, medical administrators, technologists, and public health policymakers from Tier-1 and Tier-2 cities in India. Data was analyzed using descriptive statistics, correlation analysis, and multiple regression to test relationships between AI usage, perceived efficiency, ethical awareness, and satisfaction levels. A significant correlation (r = 0.62, p < 0.01) was observed between the level of AI usage and ethical dilemma awareness, suggesting increased AI usage heightens sensitivity to their ethical dimensions. This research study contributes into both the utilitarian advantages and moral challenges that healthcare professionals in India experience while using AI technologies.
