PIV experimental study on the effectiveness of SDBD plasma aerodynamic excitation parameters on body force
Abstract
When surface dielectric barrier discharge (SDBD) plasma generates aerodynamic excitation, the airflow in the flow field ionizes to form plasma, which generates body force under the action of electromagnetic fields. This is the main factor in forming plasma-induced jets and can directly affect the mixing performance of the jet. (PIV)is paper, particle image velocimetry(PIV)technology is used to measure the SDBD plasma-induced flow field under low pressureand the influence of plasma excitation parameters on plasma body force is studied. The results indicate that as the pulse frequency increases, the horizontal distribution range of the body force remains consistent, the primary action point shifts closer to the actuator, and the overall body force on the control body stays largely unchanged. As the duty cycle increases, the horizontal range of body force density first increases and then decreases, reaching a maximum at 50%, the main action point moves away from the actuator, and the resultant force on the control body increases. When the excitation voltage increases, the acting region of the body force remains unchanged, and both the maximum induced velocity and the resultant force on the control body increase linearly.
