Abstract

This study explores how different materials like GGBS, silica fume, and fly ash affect the compressive strength of concrete when used alongside cement. Using statistical tools in MINITAB, a regression model was developed to predict strength levels based on different mix combinations. The analysis included response surface plots and residual checks to ensure accuracy. The results showed that adding silica fume had the most positive effect on strength, while increasing cement actually led to a reduction in strength. GGBS and fly ash also helped improve strength but within specific limits. The model performed very well, with a high accuracy level (R² = 0.966) and very low error, showing that the predictions closely matched the actual test results. Overall, the study highlights the potential of using these supplementary materials to make concrete stronger and more environmentally friendly.
