Maximising nanofluid efficiency: A design of experiments approach
Abstract
Current research focuses on identifying the optimal nanofluid composition that balances cost-effectiveness and efficiency in thermal applications. This study endeavors to pinpoint the most effective nanofluid compositions for augmenting the heat transfer characteristics of base fluids, considering factors such as nanofluid type, volumetric concentration, and system temperature. The article delves into various aspects including relevant literature, nanofluid types, their applications, and the optimal parameters for Al 2 O 3 -EG/Water nanofluid to further refine the heat transfer coefficient in thermal applications. We examined specific experimental techniques, including the selection of nanofluid, diverse volumetric concentrations, base fluid ratio, and operating temperatures, to optimize nanofluid performance in thermal management. The employment of sophisticated statistical software for data analysis, as highlighted in this study, promises to augment the efficacy of these techniques significantly. Such advancements are anticipated to lower both the capital and operational costs for companies within the thermal industry, making energy-efficient solutions more accessible. The purpose of this article is to thoroughly explain the previously mentioned ideas, using analytical data to showcase the enhanced performance of nanofluids in heat transfer applications, when operated under optimal parameters and conditions.
