Exploring variations for enhanced strength to weight ratios in Remote Controlled (RC) aviation airfoil truss design structures
Abstract
The project aims to optimize the strength-to-weight ratio of aviation airfoil structures through an extensive exploration of truss design variations. By leveraging advanced computational tools like Ansys, comprehensive finite element analyses on a range of truss configurations, scrutinizing their performance under varying loads and flight conditions. The investigation encompasses a diverse array of materials, focusing on lightweight yet robust composites. Through systematic design optimization, this study seeks to identify the most efficient truss patterns and material combinations that exhibit enhanced structural integrity while minimizing overall weight. From this research holds significant promise for advancing aerospace engineering, offering insights into novel designs that can contribute to the development of more fuel-efficient, high-performance aircraft with improved flight dynamics and safety.
