Abstract

This chapter discusses the life-cycle model and how it is crucial in project management to provide a structured approach when developing mega complex LNG projects. It focuses on how organisations can understand the processes required to undertake these large projects. Additionally, there is a life-cycle performance measurement model for mega complex LNG project development. Integrating both conceptual modelling and empirical modelling is crucial for comprehensive analysis and evaluation, especially in complex scenarios like case studies involving major components. There are various types of LNG projects and their phases within the life-cycle model for developing mega complex LNG projects. LNG projects require an understanding that they vary in size and complexity, and understanding this variability is essential for effective planning and development. It includes a discussion on the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on the organisation’s mindset in managing these large projects despite such a pandemic.
