Abstract

Indonesia as a tropical country with seasonal rainfall patterns has complex hydrometeorological conditions and is susceptible to the effects of climate change. Increases in extreme rainfall intensity, average annual temperature, and seasonal irregularities have affected watershed stability, including increased erosion and sedimentation [ 1–5 ]. In Banyuwangi Regency, which features varied topography and coastal regions, there are characteristics of a bird-feather-type watershed, a watershed that contains many small tributaries flowing into a main river. This type tends to have a rapid response to rainfall and is vulnerable to water quality degradation and sedimentation [ 6–9 ].
