Abstract

Multiple-criteria decision-making (MCDM) and project rating are increasingly necessary to complete investment projects. Choosing the best projects needs careful analysis of numerous conflicting aspects. This study develops a multi-criteria cricket team selection model for players. The Indian Premier League (IPL) is the most popular cricket league in India. This league is held every year in India. The “Best Holistic Adaptable Ranking of Attributes Technique (BHARAT)” is an easy-to-use MCDM tool for individuals and groups. Simple scales are used to convert qualities into numerical values. Ten attributes are identified for comparison. They are team purse, popularity, opportunity, owner, team records, captain, coaches, mentor, hospitality, and players. In this study, a model has been developed for a player to choose the best cricket team to join out of multiple conflicting options. The BHARAT strategy is simple, powerful, effective, and adaptable; hence, this strategy should be mostly preferred.
