Abstract

This chapter describes how limit cycles can coalesce, resulting in the birth or death of limit cycles. It is analogous to the birth/death of equilibria that occurs at a saddle-node bifurcation and is called a saddle-node of periodics bifurcation. This chapter describes such bifurcations.
