Abstract

Diabetes mellitus (DM) is a long-term metabolic illness that causes high blood sugar levels for lengthy periods of time. This is usually because the body doesn’t make enough insulin, doesn’t respond to insulin, or both. Diabetes has emerged as a serious public health concern around the world, causing over 1.6 million deaths per year and significantly raising the risk of cardiovascular disease, kidney failure, neuropathy, and retinopathy. Conventional techniques of diagnosis and care frequently lack accuracy, speed, and customization, which can impede successful disease control and complication prevention. In recent years, artificial intelligence (AI) has transformed diabetes care by processing complex datasets, revealing hidden patterns, and providing data-driven therapeutic insights. AI applications include early detection, precise diagnosis, risk assessment, and tailored treatment planning, which improve patient outcomes while maximizing healthcare resources. This publication explores AI&s;s transformative role in diabetes diagnosis, monitoring, and tailored management, emphasizing its potential to advance modern diabetic care.
