Abstract

The Industrial, Scientific, and Medical (ISM) band, primarily designated for non-communication applications, has emerged as a promising frequency range for biomedical applications due to its potential for low-cost and interference-free wireless communication. Antenna design and simulation play a crucial role in realizing the potential of ISM bands for biomedical applications. This chapter discusses the challenges associated with ISM band antenna design and simulation for biomedical purposes and proposes potential solutions to overcome these obstacles. The focus is on developing efficient and reliable antennas for various biomedical applications such as medical implants, wearable health monitors, and remote patient monitoring systems.
