Abstract

This chapter presents methods for processing the results of direct, indirect, concurrent, and collective measurements, illustrated with examples of their application. Cases of calculating combined uncertainty, considering the correlation between pairs of measurement results, are discussed. In addition, the chapter introduces a methodology for processing groups of measurement results with multiple observations. Static measurements of physical quantities can be classified according to the method of evaluating the measurement result as follows: Direct measurements with single observations. Direct measurements with multiple observations. Indirect measurements of a physical quantity involving transformation of its nature. Concurrent measurements of homogeneous physical quantities. Collective measurements of heterogeneous physical quantities. Let us consider the methods for processing measurement results of physical quantities by these groups, considering the concept of measurement uncertainty.
